Sunmi reveals she asked a celebrity out on a date

AKP STAFF

Sunmi revealed she once asked a celebrity out on a date.

On the July 21st episode of 'Sunmi's Showterview', Sunmi admitted she once asked a celebrity out on a date first. She expressed, "I can explain this. It's because when I liked someone, I don't hide it. I don't push and pull. I don't hide it, and I can't hide it."

Hyolyn, who featured as a guest on the show, responded, "I think I'm a bit careful. Even if I like them, I don't think, 'I should approach them.' I wonder whether it's someone I can approach. I think about whether they're an okay person, and all sorts of thoughts go through my head."

Good for Sunmi. The part about she doesn't push or pull, meaning doesn't play games, is especially admirable about her. I wish more women did this.

Hyoyeon once said she has good feelings for a male idol during promotions but she also said that that male idol saw the article and knew she was probably talking about him and he got cocky and started to act like he was "the lady's man" and she got turned off by it and disliked him later.

sometimes idols can be afraid to date another idol, especially for a female idol to approach first, since you dunno how the other idol will react and if he or she will keep the relationship a secret EVEN if it didnt end well.

some idols may like to Boast that, "You know..that XYZ has a thing for me" and find it an honor,

while some do keep it a secret.

that is why some idols decide not to date a celebrity and rather date ppl outside of their industry instead. However dating someone outside of the industry can also have its CONs, if the other party is not so understanding about your job.

I remember Din Din was on this Youtube channel, (not his), and the channel made this "FAKE date" with him and an female employee from a Beverage company, (he know its not a real date but more like a promoter thing), but he was straight forward and says as an entertainment, he sometimes work 7 days a week, and ends work at 2am or so, dating an idol if you are not in the same line can be hard if the idol is Super Busy and you will find yourself, "neglected" or find yourself jealous at the other person, for acting with opposite sex or mingling with pretty boys or girls...
