A former police officer, previously penalized for stalking a famous trot singer by illegally accessing their home address, has once again been arrested for similar behavior.
According to TV Chosun on June 27, the ex-officer, referred to as Ms. A, was recently apprehended by police after causing a disturbance outside a private residence. The incident took place around 1 a.m. on June 21, when Ms. A approached the house, knocked on the door, and rang the doorbell. She left when police arrived, but returned minutes later to press her ear against the door and eavesdrop on sounds from inside the home.
Despite being warned and sent away by officers, Ms. A reappeared in front of the residence about four hours later. The home she targeted was the same one involved in her previous offenses.
Although a court had issued a restraining order against Ms. A in December last year, the restriction was lifted in March 2025. Following her renewed behavior, police requested another restraining order on June 23. However, before the court decision was finalized, Ms. A returned to the scene, prompting her arrest.
Ms. A has a history of making false emergency reports. Since July last year, she is accused of unlawfully entering the same property multiple times and filing over 230 false reports, claiming, for example, that people were being held captive or that sexual assaults were taking place.
She allegedly believed that the residence belonged to a well-known trot singer. In reality, the house is occupied by an unrelated individual who happens to share a similar name with the celebrity.
In April 2024, Ms. A was found to have used the police internal network to access the trot singer’s address. This led to her suspension and, ultimately, her dismissal from the police force in February 2025 following disciplinary proceedings.
