Sparking much interest among the masses, when a KakaoTalk group chat involving hip-hop artists went public, Block B member Zico apologized for the controversy.
The idol star wrote, "Hello this is Zico.First of all, I would like to apologize for the late feedback. I was occupied with a schedule when I came across the controversial text messageand unconsciously reacted to the related image as I only thought it was a parody of a viral clip. In no way was I trying to sympathize or belittle the statement by any means."

He added, "If anyone was offended or hurt by this particular incident, I would like to sincerely apologize. I will make sure to be more careful going forth," hoping to clear up any misunderstandings.
