Mnet preparing new singing survival program 'Battle of Master Vocalists'

A CJ E&M rep recently announced, "Mnet is preparing a program with the title 'Battle of Master Vocalists'. The first filming has not been set yet... We have agreed on it premiering in May. Because the first filming has not been done yet, we are not sure when the first broadcast will exactly air and it is too early to explain the program's format and direction."

An Mnet rep also told OSEN, "Rather than it being the cable version of 'I Am A Singer', it is a blind survival program for artists with outstanding vocals. The program title has been confirmed to be 'Battle of Master Vocalists' and is set to premiere this May. The filming date has not been determined yet."

The show is expected to be a mix of 'I Am A Singer' and 'Voice Korea' with its blind format of reviewing celebrity singers based on their singing alone and the show is currently casting singers for the show.
