7 'SMTM4' contestants who were eliminated too early

Crucial Star, Jooheon
1. Crucial Star
You might remember Crucial Star as the guy from the first round of auditions who was eliminated after he forgot his lyrics, but continued to stick around to ask Tablo for a second chance - only to be denied as Tablo reasoned that it wouldn't be fair to give him a second chance amongst all the contestants. Tablo did compliment the distraught rapper by saying he enjoys Crucial Star's music. Known for having a father who is a famous artist along with the rest of his talented family members, Crucial Star said he found painting boring and pursued rap instead. If you're into Beenzino and Primary, you'll definitely appreciate Crucial Star and his music. If only he didn't forget his lyrics...
2. Haeng Ju
Ji Goo In, who is still competing in the show, and Haeng Ju are both members of the underground rap group called Rhythm Power. As Rhythm Power's Ji Goo In was judged first and given a chain, Haeng Ju failed to obtain a chain for himself immediately after. Tablo expressed how Haeng Ju's rap lines were less impressive right after Ji Goo In who went in strong. It was unfortunate, but it is what it is. After looking up some of Rhythm Power's work, I do have to say that Haeng Ju should've been passed at least to the next level. Listen to Rhythm Power's collaboration with Primary and Dynamic Duo as Haeng Ju's rap comes in effortlessly smooth at 2:52.
3. Kasper
Kasper is one of the very few female rappers who made it past the initial auditions amongst the ladies who seemed to be eliminated left and right. She's known as 'Unpretty Rapstar' Kisum's close friend, and turned the heads of many when she gained a chain to go onto the next round. However, the next round was met with her elimination as she became flustered and messed up her lyrics. Many of us would've appreciated to see more from female rappers, but that may have to be saved until the next season of 'Unpretty Rapstar'. In the meantime, check out Kasper's rap video. It's not too bad, and I have an itching feeling we will see her again.
4. Jooheon
Monsta X member Jooheon is one of the many idol rappers who participated in this season's auditions. As many idol rappers were cut one by one, Jooheon made it to the rap battle round. He surprised me quite a bit with his skills and booming confidence. As the judges were very impressed by Jooheon, he was one of the four who were called back during the battle rounds to have a second chance to make it to the next round. Unfortunately for him, he was beat out by One, who is also a notable rapper for this season. Jooheon's aggressiveness made me wonder how it would've been if he were to ever rap against WINNER's Mino.
5. BeWhy
If BeWhy wasn't paired to go up against such strong rappers like Microdot and Lil Boi during the rap battle rounds, I firmly believe he would've went onto the next round. It was quite unlucky how it happened. BeWhy first rapped against Microdot, and they both killed with their impressive performance. As the judges reluctantly made a decision, Microdot was passed on to the next round. However, BeWhy received a second chance as the judges chose four eliminated rappers from the battle rounds to compete once more. The rappers flipped a coin, and BeWhy was paired with Lil Boi, a rapper who made a strong presence since the first episode. They both performed so well, Sean said he felt like he was watching the semi-finals for the show. Lil Boi eventually came out on top. BeWhy never failed to impress the judges, and I wished he had been able to stay on the show a little bit longer.
6. Seo Chul Gu
Episode 4 was a huge frustration for many, specifically stemmed from contestant Seo Chul Gu. This episode held a cypher battle, guest judged by Snoop Dogg, where the contestants had to freestyle a rap within a time limit. Those who were not able to get their rap in would automatically be eliminated. There were huge expectations for Seo Chul Goo, who is known to excel at freestyling. As the cypher battle got heated and messy, in the last ticking seconds, Seo Chul Goo passed the mic to a 17-year-old rapper. Many of the contestants commented on what a shame it was that Seo Chul Goo could not showcase his full rap. Many were shocked by the elimination of the freestyle rapper, but once again, rules are rules. Seo Chul Gu left too early, and he should've have been more aggressive (sigh).
7. P-Type
Last but not least, we have P-Type. He trained CL and Minzy from 2NE1 with his 15 years of experience in rap, easily recognized by the contestants and judges. He said he came to criticize that the producers didn't yet know hip hop. When P-Type came up to the second round, it was obvious that he made the judges nervous with his presence, and with good reason too. What happened next was too unthinkable. He had a strong start, but suddenly stumbled over his lyrics which made the judges simultaneously fail him. The whole situation was painful and awkward to watch as everyone including the judges were in disbelief. Yes, the show had to continue with its structure, but man I do wish P-Type was still in the show to give some insight on a thing or two about hip hop. He would've been killing it.
