On July 15, the Kwangju District Court revealed the details to the third trial of the crew members, who neglected their duty aboard the Sewol ferry during the tragic disaster on April 16. These details included some messages uploaded by the students aboard the ferry that would wring anybody's heart.

At 9:10 AM, one student wrote, "I love you all, I really love you.  Guys, I really love you, and I've shot my last video."  Another wrote, "The coast guards are here now.  Right now, a breaking news came out, probably us."  Also, "I'm so scared.  The cabinet fell so the kids in the next room are buried under.  I'm scared."

Other messages revealed that it was not broadcasted throughout the ferry that they were sinking and other students sent "I miss you" messages to their family and friends. One apologized to a sibling for not having been nice and said "I love you," asking for this message to be passed onto their mother and saying he was going on to join their father.

One KakaoTalk discussion also revealed during the trial this day went: "Was Captain Lee Joon Suk at the steering wheels during the time of the accident?"  This was addressed to a fellow crew member, third mate Mr. Park, who responded, "The problem was that the captain did not fulfill his duty."  The first person went, "He needs to prepare for a civil suit," to which Mr. Park said, "I think we have to say no matter what that it was the captain's fault for evading his responsibility.  I saw the captain using his cell phone in his room, and I wonder if he were playing a game."

Meanwhile, 38 surviving students from Danwon High School are marching on foot, demanding that the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea reveal the truth about the tragedy.

Upon seeing these messages, netizens said, "My heart hurts so much," "They must have been so scared...," "I'm crying," "I really hope that the culprits are all punished," and more.

May those students and the other victims of the tragedy rest in peace.
