The KMA 2026 (KM Chart Awards 2026) will take place on July 25 at Hwajeong Gymnasium of Korea University in Anam-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, the organizing committee announced on March 10.
Hosted by K-music chart platform KM Chart, the ceremony is a music festival and awards show dedicated to artists who have shined in the K-pop industry over the past year, as well as the fans who supported them.
The event will present major grand prizes across four categories, along with main awards, rookie awards, and popularity awards, honoring standout K-pop artists while encouraging the next generation set to lead the industry.
KM Chart, a fan-participation-based K-music chart platform, compiles data across six K-music categories each month, providing what it describes as credible chart metrics. The platform recently signed a strategic partnership with KT ENA to strengthen K-pop content competitiveness, further expanding its influence.
Based on this collaboration, the upcoming ceremony plans to feature performances spanning various genres and diverse programs aimed at global fans, enhancing the overall scale and prestige of the event.
The lineup of performers, as well as the MCs, presenters, and detailed schedule for KMA 2026, will be announced at a later date.
