Former AOA member Kwon Mina has announced a fresh start - this time, stepping into the role of a producer.
On February 5, Mina shared an update on social media, posting a recruitment notice for aspiring dancers. She explained that she is looking for men in their 20s and 30s with a strong understanding of dance, natural talent, and growth potential, including former trainees, online idols, and individuals capable of creating short-form and live content.
She added that even those aspiring to become actors or vocalists are encouraged to apply if they have an interest in dance and can perform at a certain level, urging interested candidates to reach out via direct message without hesitation. Successful applicants will be offered a flexible, trust-based environment with no penalty clauses, including opportunities for connections with entertainment agencies, dance training, camera performance coaching, and content production support.
Kwon Mina also revealed plans to expand activities beyond online platforms to offline stages through a variety of projects and content. While the recruitment is primarily focused on men, she noted that women are also welcome to participate, and there is no fixed application deadline.
The announcement has drawn particular attention as it comes after a difficult period in Kwon Mina’s life. She previously raised concerns among fans after being taken in for emergency assistance while sharing the emotional pain she experienced during her time promoting with AOA. Her scheduled solo fan meeting was canceled at the time, but she has since appeared more stable and has been receiving support as she outlines new plans.
Kwon Mina debuted in 2012 as a member of AOA and gained widespread popularity with hit songs such as "Short Hair," "Like a Cat," and "Heart Attack." After leaving the group in 2019, she pursued acting while also working a regular office job. More recently, she announced the termination of her exclusive contract.
