Song Hye Kyo has shared a glimpse of her recent activities, drawing attention for her noticeably slimmer appearance.
On the 2nd, the actress posted a message saying, “A celebration for a newlywed,” followed by, “Suddenly, my birthday from last year,” alongside photos from the gathering.
The images show Song Hye Kyo meeting friends to celebrate the upcoming marriage of a close acquaintance. She is seen wearing a short haircut and a cap pulled down casually, showcasing a relaxed yet stylish look.
What caught the most attention was her sharply defined jawline, prompting speculation that she may have lost weight while filming her next project.
Song Hye Kyo made her debut in the entertainment industry after winning the grand prize at the 1996 SunKyung Smart Model Contest. She went on to establish herself as a leading Hallyu star through hit dramas such as ‘Autumn in My Heart,’ ‘All In,’ ‘Full House,’ ‘Worlds Within,’ and ‘Descendants of the Sun.’
She received particular acclaim for taking on her first genre drama in ‘The Glory,’ where she revealed a new side of her acting.
Song is set to return with the Netflix series ‘Slowly but Intensely’ (working title). The project is set against the backdrop of the Korean entertainment industry from the 1960s to the 1980s, a time marked by violence and chaos, and follows the growth stories of those who threw themselves into the pursuit of success despite having nothing.
Regarding her role as Minja, Song said, “Minja has endured countless hardships since childhood and developed an exceptionally strong inner self. After living a difficult life, she sees an opportunity in the Korean music industry and jumps in without hesitation,” adding, “I am looking forward to showing a new side of myself through this character.”
