Actor Park Hae Jin is officially returning to the small screen through 'Good Partner 2,' and anticipation is rising over the chemistry he will create with Jang Na Ra and Kim Hye Yoon.
On December 2, iMBC reported that Park Hae Jin has been cast as the male lead in SBS’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama 'Good Partner 2' (written by Choi Yoon Ah, directed by Kim Garam), drawing immediate attention.
Season 1 of 'Good Partner' was a major hit and reached a peak viewership rating of 17.7 percent according to Nielsen Korea. With Park Hae Jin now joining Season 2 as one of the new main pillars of the story, expectations for the series have grown even stronger.
The drama revolves around divorce attorneys and their everyday work. In Season 1, Jang Na Ra and Nam Ji Hyun delivered grounded and relatable performances that helped drive the show’s popularity. The series also made a strong impact at the '2023 SBS Drama Awards.' The cast received the Best Teamwork Award, Jang Na Ra won the Grand Prize, Nam Ji Hyun earned the Best Actress Award in the Miniseries Human and Fantasy category, and Kim Jun Han and P.O. received Best Supporting Actor honors.
Season 2, which is now confirmed for production, will feature several changes. Jang Na Ra and P.O. are returning, while Nam Ji Hyun and Kim Jun Han have officially stepped down from the cast. Their roles in the story will be taken over by Park Hae Jin and Kim Hye Yoon. For Park Hae Jin, 'Good Partner 2' marks his first drama in about two years since 'The Killing Vote.'
During his time away from the small screen, he focused on fitness and personal management through his own channel. His comeback is expected to bring a fresh tone and deeper character interpretation to the series.
With Park Hae Jin making a highly anticipated return, attention now turns to how 'Good Partner 2' will evolve, how the cast will build on the strengths of Season 1, and what new energy Park Hae Jin will bring to the story.
