JTBC's upcoming weekend drama 'Waiting for Gyeong-do' has dropped its first teaser, instantly sparking excitement among viewers. The series is set to premiere in December, and it will be the successor to 'The Dream Life of Mr. Kim,' which airs after 'A Hundred Memories.'
Starring Park Seo Joon and Won Ji An, the drama is reportedly in its final stages of preparation before meeting with the audience at the end of this year. On October 22, the production team of 'Waiting for Gyeon-do' (written by Yoo Young Ah, directed by Lim Hyun Wook) unveiled behind-the-scenes photos from the lively filming set. Writer Yoo Young Ah is known for her penmanship for 'Thirty-Nine' and 'Divorce Attorney Shin,' while director Lim Hyun Wook previously helmed the hit romantic drama 'King the Land.'

The series follows the story of ex-lovers Lee Gyeong Do (played by Park Seo Joon) and Seo Ji Woo (played by Won Ji An), who reunite after two encounters and separations, meeting at age 20 and at 28. Now, Gyeong Do works as an entertainment reporter, while Ji Woo, married and caught up in an affair scandal, finds herself drawn back into a bittersweet yet passionate romance.
The newly released video showcases Park Seo Joon, Won Ji An, Lee El (as Seo Ji Yeon), Lee Joo Young (as Park Se Young), Kang Ki Doong (as Cha Woo Shik), and Jo Min Gook (as Lee Jung Min) enjoying a cheerful atmosphere on set. Scenes of the cast discussing the script and laughing together during breaks convey the drama's warm and dynamic energy.

In particular, glimpses of Park Seo Joon and Won Ji An's chemistry have already captivated fans as the two are seen sharing a ride on a carousel and dancing a waltz in the middle of the street. Their romantic synergy and deep immersion in their roles have already captured viewers’ hearts.
Fans are especially excited for Park Seo Joon’s long-awaited return to romantic comedy, marking his first in seven years since the 2018 tvN drama 'What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?'
