Former Rainbow member Go Woori officially announced that she is expecting her first child, sharing the joyful news both on television and with fans worldwide.
The announcement was first made during the April 1 broadcast of 'Radio Star' on MBC. Appearing in a special episode titled 'Loyalty Inducers,' Go Woori opened up about her recent personal journey and her long-held wish to start a family.
She candidly shared that she had been preparing for pregnancy but had experienced difficulties along the way. “I went through a lot of worries and concerns, but I’m grateful to say that I am now pregnant,” she revealed, adding that she is currently seven weeks along. She also showed her maternity badge during the broadcast, drawing warm reactions from viewers.
Go Woori further reflected on the timing of the news, saying, “Everything is going according to my New Year’s plans. I saw two lines on the pregnancy test, and the next day I received an offer to appear on ‘Radio Star.’”
Following the broadcast, Go Woori took to Instagram to personally share the news with her fans, posting photos and a heartfelt message:
“Hello, everyone!! Yes, I’m pregnant.
I’ve been spending time quietly and being extra careful until reaching a more stable stage.^^
The baby’s nickname is ‘Bokdeongi.’
Please send lots of support and love so that the baby can be born in good health without any trouble. And I hope you all receive lots of blessings too.
By the way… Do you think I suit being a boy mom? Or a girl mom? Haha I’m curious!!”
The announcement has since been met with an outpouring of congratulations from fans and fellow celebrities.
Go Woori married a businessman five years her senior in October 2023. Previously, she had spoken openly about her worries regarding pregnancy on 'Sinppal Talk Show: Ghostly Tales,' revealing that her plans to conceive had been unexpectedly delayed.
