CLOSE YOUR EYES are celebrating a meaningful first debut anniversary, reflecting on a year of remarkable growth and global achievements.
Since their debut in April last year, the group quickly made a strong impression. Their debut album ‘ETERNALT’ surpassed 310,000 first week sales, ranking fifth among boy group debut albums in K-pop history. The title track ‘All the Poems and Novels Inside Me’ earned them a music show win just six days after debut, followed by a second trophy, solidifying their reputation as a “monster rookie.”
Their momentum continued with their first comeback just three months later. The second mini album ‘Snowy Summer’ showcased a playful concept of ghost like boys in an unexpected seasonal setting. The title track secured another music show win within six days, eventually achieving three trophies and further proving their rapid rise.
The album also recorded over 200,000 sales on its release day alone. CLOSE YOUR EYES gained international recognition as well, being selected for Spotify’s “Super Rookie” program and ranking high on various domestic and global charts.
Their third mini album ‘blackout,’ released in November, marked a career high with 570,000 first week sales, earning them the title of half million seller. Within less than a year since debut, the group surpassed 1.2 million cumulative album sales across three releases, demonstrating both strong fandom power and mainstream appeal.
The group also gained attention for their collaboration with Grammy winning DJ Imanbek on the double title track ‘SOB,’ featuring a dynamic performance with a 42 member mega crew. The album was recognized by Billboard as one of the “25 Best K-pop Albums of 2025,” while Forbes named them among the most consistently charting K-pop artists.
CLOSE YOUR EYES further cemented their status through awards, sweeping a total of eight rookie honors across major ceremonies, including the K World Dream Awards, The Fact Music Awards, TikTok Awards, Golden Disc Awards, and more.
Their success extended to live performances as well. Following their Seoul concerts, the group toured Japan with stops in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka, demonstrating their growing global influence. The tour will continue in Hong Kong on May 30.
With a standout first year behind them, CLOSE YOUR EYES have firmly positioned themselves as leaders of the next generation of K-pop. The group is now preparing for an April comeback, aiming to showcase a deeper musical identity and an even broader artistic spectrum.
