Actor Ryu Jun Yeol will take part in the 10th anniversary celebration of 'Reply 1988,' despite earlier reports that he would not be attending.
On October 30, a representative from tvN told Sports Chosun, “Although Ryu Jun Yeol could not join the entire MT schedule due to other commitments, he adjusted his schedule to participate in part of the filming since this content commemorates the 10th anniversary of 'Reply 1988.'”
Initially, Ryu Jun Yeol was said to have been unable to participate in the special filming due to scheduling conflicts. However, he ultimately appeared in a portion of the content. The 10th anniversary project reportedly includes a group trip to Gangwon Province and unit shoots organized by family groups, and Ryu took part in some of these segments.
Around 15 cast members who starred in 'Reply 1988' reunited for the occasion, drawing much attention. Among them was Hyeri, Ryu’s former girlfriend, sparking curiosity about whether the two would meet again. However, it has been reported that they did not cross paths, as Ryu was occupied with filming his upcoming project, The Rat.
Ryu Jun Yeol and Hyeri first met through 'Reply 1988' and later developed a romantic relationship. The two confirmed their relationship publicly in August 2017 and officially announced their breakup in November 2023.
