Singer Yoo Seung Jun (Steve Yoo) revealed his second son while reflecting on his hopes of entering Korea.
On September 14, Yoo uploaded a new video to his YouTube channel where he introduced his second son, Jian (Rowan).
In the video, Yoo introduced his son Jian, who is preparing to become a competitive swimmer. To cheer for Jian at his swimming competition, Yoo left home early in the morning, eventually dozing off in the car out of exhaustion.
Yoo was seen cheering loudly during Jian’s 100m preliminaries. Although Jian advanced to the finals, he failed to reach his target time and passed by the camera with a gloomy expression, drawing sympathy from viewers. Despite his reluctance to appear on camera, Jian agreed at his father’s request, showing his kind-hearted side. Yoo proudly encouraged his son as he promised to aim higher in the finals.
Along with the video, Yoo wrote, “There are times when my heart breaks because of twisted truths and distorted sincerity. But the reason I find strength again is because of the people I love. Some may think I want to enter Korea for business activities, but I am already very happy and grateful. I sincerely pray that all the misunderstandings blocking us will be resolved.”
Yoo has been banned from entering Korea for over 20 years after acquiring U.S. citizenship in 2002 to avoid mandatory military service. Recently, however, he won his third administrative lawsuit requesting a Korean visa, raising the possibility of his return.
