Seventeen’s Woozi is set to begin his mandatory military service.
On September 15, Woozi will enter an Army recruit training center, where he will undergo basic training before being assigned to his unit to serve as an active-duty soldier.
He is the third member of Seventeen to fulfill military service. Jeonghan began his alternative service as a public service worker in September 2023, followed by Wonwoo, who also started alternative service this past April. Woozi will be joined by Hoshi, who enlists the next day on September 16 as an active-duty soldier.
Woozi was recently spotted at Seventeen’s world tour concert at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on September 14. Just days before enlistment, he appeared with a freshly shaved head, drawing attention from fans. Hoshi, also preparing for his enlistment, revealed his new look as well, while Jeonghan and Wonwoo, currently serving alternative duty, were present in the audience. Fans were delighted when all nine members reunited for photos after the concert.
After the show, Woozi shared a heartfelt message:
“It was my first time watching the members and CARATs smile to my music from outside the stage, and it made me very happy. I’ll take that strength with me as I enlist. I’ll serve well and return in good health.”
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN will continue their world tour, performing at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium on September 27–28, followed by a North American tour in October with stops in Tacoma, Los Angeles, Austin, Sunrise, and Washington, D.C. The group will also meet fans at four dome concerts in Japan this November and December.
