The internet has been abuzz over the latest photos of Seungri, who was expelled from the Korean entertainment industry.
Recently, new photos of Seungri spread through online communities. In the pictures, he is seen smiling brightly while posing with a jewelry entrepreneur. What garnered attention was Seungri's heavier appearance.
Just a few months ago, Seungri made headlines for his dramatically slimmer look. This time, however, attention shifted as he appeared bulked up, with more weight in his face and body, and even a noticeable belly.
Each time Seungri’s whereabouts surface, they spark negative reactions. Public sentiment is less about curiosity and more rooted in unease and anger over his continued involvement in external business ventures after his release from prison.
Online reaction included comments such as:
"I wish he would stay out of sight."
"Just live quietly without harming others."
"He’s no longer a celebrity."
"I don’t even want to see articles about him."
"If an ordinary person were charged with nine crimes, would they be released after just 1 year and 6 months?"
"He looks completely unrepentant."
"Stop publishing articles about him, it’s exhausting."
"He used to come to my workplace before the scandal—he was so unpleasant. He even brought women from hostess bars."
"A reinvestigation into Burning Sun needs to happen."
"Stop appearing."
"I don't need to know about him."
"Stop writing articles about him."
"He's an embarrassment."
Seungri was a figure in the 2019 'Burning Sun scandal,' which ultimately led to his removal from the entertainment industry. He was indicted on nine charges, including habitual gambling, prostitution and solicitation, violations of the Sexual Violence Punishment Act, the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act, the Food Sanitation Act, embezzlement, aggravated punishment for specific economic crimes (embezzlement), and instigation of special assault. He was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison.
