NEXZ, the 7-member boy group under JYP Entertainment, has graced the cover of the October issue of AtStyle, marking their first-ever magazine cover shoot.
This is the group’s second collaboration with AtStyle, but their first time taking the cover, making the experience even more meaningful. The members shared, “We used to admire our senior artists appearing on the cover of AtStyle, so it feels like a dream come true to be in that spot ourselves.”
Ahead of their upcoming October comeback, NEXZ revealed that all members participated in the creative process of the new album. They commented, “We poured so much into this album and we’re confident in it. Please look forward to it.” They added, “We’re going all out this time. If you thought the ‘tower-stacking choreography’ from our previous song ‘O-RLY?’ was intense, get ready—we’ve got an even more powerful killing performance prepared.”
In July, just 11 months after their official debut in Japan, NEXZ headlined their first solo concert at the legendary Budokan. “It was surreal to perform on the same stage as so many iconic senior artists,” they said, expressing their gratitude. They went on to share a bold dream: “One day, we hope to perform at Gocheok Sky Dome.”
The group also revealed how they’ve been working on improving their Korean. “With our schedule getting busier, it’s hard to find time for formal studying. So we try to speak only in Korean when talking among ourselves and make sure to watch Korean dramas and films when we can.”
They also expressed appreciation for their senior labelmates. “The members of Stray Kids always cheer us on so warmly. They make time to bring us meals or snacks whenever possible. It’s a huge source of strength for us,” they said.
Living up to the meaning of their name—opening a new future for K-pop—NEXZ has set a clear goal. “We hope that when people hear ‘NEXZ’, they instantly think ‘the No.1 performance group of the 5th generation.’”
