IVE's Jang Won Young has opened up about her thoughts on marriage.
On Kang Min Kyung's well-known YouTube channel, Jang Won Young appeared as part of her celebrity vlog series, where the idol—rather than the Davichi member herself—takes over the camera to share glimpses of her daily life and schedule.
In her episode, Jang Won Young gave viewers a look at her busy schedule, from filming for Jeongwaja, flying to Germany for Lollapalooza, and enjoying dinner with IVE members and friends, to recording in the studio and more.
The vlog also featured a personal dinner with Kang Min Kyung, where the two shared drinks and a candid conversation.
During the meal, Jang Won Young surprised Kang Min Kyung by asking her if she has plans to get married. The IVE member noted that "marriage is a hot topic" for her and admitted she often asks this question to everyone she meets these days.
Sharing her own perspective, Jang Won Young said she could see herself as "a good wife and a wise mother," because she enjoys "caring for others so much."
When asked what her "biggest goal in life" is, she replied with a touch of laughter: "Living a good life luxuriously with my husband."
She quickly added, however, that this "isn't possible" right now and that she is speaking "half-jokingly."
Jang Won Young also revealed her ideal type, saying: "For sure, it has to be someone whom I can respect. If I can't respect him, then I don't think the feeling of liking that person would really develop."
Pressed to share a visual preference, she responded: "I like someone with a solid physique. Someone I can look at and think, 'Oh wow, this person definitely has a good self-care routine.' I like that kind of person because I have the same approach myself."
Later, over highball drinks, Jang Won Young addressed how she always deals with hate and harsh criticism. She said she welcomed "feedback" and felt "grateful" for those who offer it, but she never gave "any time or emotion" to irrational bashers because she knew she "didn't do anything wrong."
When Kang Min Kyung asked if she is truly "not bothered by those things at all," Jang Won Young immediately answered: "No."
Impressed, Kang Min Kyung remarked that she finds Jang Won Young "mentally stronger" than herself. Jang Won Young agreed, acknowledging that she does believe she has a strong mentality.
