K-netizens are reacting to CORTIS.
On an online forum, netizens quickly checked out Big Hit Music's new boy group's MV for "GO!", an introductory video released ahead of their official debut. While much about the members remains unknown, viewers are already speculating about their profiles, overall group concept, and MV style, even drawing comparisons to former Big Hit trainees 'Trainee A.'
The most common comments noted that the "song sounds pretty good," while some were "a bit taken aback by the MV's visuals" due to sudden extreme close-ups of the boys' facial features without properly zooming out or focusing on their full faces.

With the MV’s frequent use of fast-paced and distorted effects, many netizens found themselves focusing more on the song itself, saying the group "seems to unexpectedly exude a heavy hip-hop concept," with some likening it to Travis Scott or Sik-K.
For the most part, commenters felt that the group "seems to be going for a 'foreign style' concept befitting the international market and targeting foreign fans." While many praised the song’s "danceable and addictive beats," others said they found it harder to get into because it contained "too many electronic autotuned machine sounds over real vocals."
Some netizens managed to pause the MV at a brief moment showing all the members’ faces clearly. Several also pointed out that only one member appears to be exceptionally tall—reportedly over 190 cm—while the others seem to fall in the mid-170 cm range.

Another detail that caught attention was the lyrics. Some noted that one member wrote about seeing Bang Si Hyuk ("Hitman" Bang) as his role model, giving him an indirect shout-out with the line: "I reload because I want to make hits like Hitman."

As speculations continue, buzz around CORTIS is steadily growing, with netizens leaving a mix of reactions and anticipation for the group’s official debut.
Comments include:
"Why did they use a lens effect to make their faces look comical?;; It’s not hip, just weird and creepy."
"I’ve followed both BTS and TXT since debut and enjoy Big Hit’s music, but this feels more like a US-localized group than a typical Big Hit idol group."
"Even the MV is shot in such a strange way you can’t recognize anyone. Not hip at all............"
"What’s with all the machine sound plastered over it?"
"This is a song that doesn’t require vocal ability. Not good."
"Is this Travis Scott? What kind of debut song is this? It’s not even exciting."
"Anyway, it’s not the title track, just an intro song, so it’s fine lol."
"It’s so chaotic I couldn’t watch till the endㅠ Are they even an idol group;;"
"The song’s good, but… wait, they’re not some foreign group like KATSEYE? They’re a Korean junior group like TXT…? If they’re Korean, why style them like that…?"
"Mm… not my taste, unfortunatelyㅠ"
"The song is sooo goooood."
"Sounds like one of those common Travis Scott type beats on YouTube lol."
"Way too much machine sound."
"Is this Travis Scott? What kind of debut song is this? It’s not even exciting."
"Feels very much like Korean hip-hop lol."
"Seems fine to me."
"They just debuted, but what’s with the lyrics—‘working at night when others sleep, dreaming of being a star since I was young’—such mass-produced hip-hop lines."
"They have owner risk, so what’s with the ‘hitman’ shout-out in the lyrics…"
"They seem more like TikTokers than idols."
"Why is everyone copying Travis Scott’s beats?"
"The song sounds foreign to me—in a good way. I guess these days the target is overseas first."
"Very hip-hop. I hope they stick to their musical color… don’t give in and keep pushing forward."
"Really don’t like the machine sounds. Why are the song and MV quality like this?"
"The song isn’t bad, but the MV doesn’t fit my vibe."
"I don’t get it—is this Gen Z style or something…"
"'I want to make hits like Hitman'—are those really the lyrics? Gross."
"The song’s not bad, but why did they smother it with machine sounds? My ears are tired."
"The song’s good, pretty sophisticated actually."
"The song’s good but it’s really pop-like."
"Sounds like a Sik-K song from a trend long past."
"Big Hit’s signature overload of machine sounds just doesn’t work for me… lol. But I guess this is the American vibe—it’ll probably be big in the US."
"Feels like a downgraded version of Sik-K… almost like they were heavily inspired by his latest album."
"The song’s good? A lot of buzzkill comments here lol."
"Wow, the autotune is way too much. The MV feels hip though, which I like."
"Foreign audiences will probably like it lolololololol."
"Is their group name taken from cortisol?"
"Yeah, Hitman's making trends again lately… as a financial fraudster lol."
"The lyrics' shout-out to a financial criminal lolololol."
"Did Bang Si Hyuk write the lyrics? lol."
"Why are the lyrics like that? They’re not even trying to be subtle lol."
"Either balance the heights or use a gradient effect or something…"
"Even if they had just one more member in the mid-180 cm range, it would’ve been fine—either that or have an all-tall lineup…"
"Would’ve been fine with one more person of similar height."
"If they had someone in the mid-to-high 180s, it probably wouldn’t be an issue."
"When one person’s too tall, they stick out in a bad way on stage."
"Did they not have any member to fill the mid-180 cm range?"
"One person’s towering way too much."
"The tall member looks even taller, and the rest seem like 165–170 cm, though they’re probably taller."
"The height difference is way too noticeable."
"From that photo capture alone, the height difference looks like Jang Do Yeon next to Park Na Rae."
"Oh, it’s better than I thought? The name didn’t really grab me, but lol now I’m curious about their next song and MV. But wow, the comment section is so low—people have no grudge against these rookies yet but are already like this, tsk tsk."
"The song itself isn’t bad, but it feels like something I’ve heard before. Lacks a standout factor that really exceeds expectations, which is a bit disappointing."
"When will HYBE finally debut a singer who’s actually good at singing? I’m tired of the machine sounds."
"Why did they put in a scene that only highlights the nose and teeth? I was startled."
"I hate machine sounds… whether it’s HYBE or Big Hit, why are they so obsessed with them?"
"That 190 cm guy must have a hell of a time balancing choreography."
