Girl group IVE has once again proven its global popularity by sweeping major music charts in Japan with their third Japanese album, 'Be Alright'.
According to Japan's Oricon, 'Be Alright' topped the "Oricon Weekly Combined Album Ranking" and the "Weekly Album Ranking" for the week of August 11, securing a double title on the charts. Oricon noted that the album's weekly points surpassed IVE's previous record, setting a new personal best for the group and marking the highest weekly points for an overseas female artist this year. The "Oricon Weekly Combined Album Ranking" factors in CD sales, digital downloads, and streaming counts.
The group's success continued on Billboard Japan, where 'Be Alright' ranked number one on the "Top Albums Sales" chart. This is IVE's third consecutive time topping this chart, following their first and second Japanese albums, 'WAVE' and 'ALIVE'.
The album also took the top spot on Tower Records' "Combined Album" chart, solidifying IVE's dominant presence and global influence across all major Japanese music charts.
Released on July 30, 'Be Alright' features five tracks, including the title track of the same name. The song delivers a hopeful message about not fearing change and moving forward, resonating with fans worldwide. This achievement comes as IVE prepares for a domestic comeback with their fourth mini-album, 'IVE SECRET', and the title track "XOXZ" on August 25.
