Singer Lee Mu jin is set to return to the stage at a local event where he previously experienced mistreatment by a staff member.
According to the organizers of the 'Cheonan K-Culture Expo 2025' on June 6, Lee will perform again at the event on June 7, and the organizing committee will deliver a formal apology in person.
On June 4, Lee Mu Jin had been invited to perform at the opening ceremony of the 'Cheonan K-Culture Expo 2025,' held at the Independence Hall of Korea in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province.
During the rehearsal before the performance, a staff member abruptly interrupted Lee, saying, "Stop. What do you think you’re doing?" and "We’ll give you time to check the sound during the actual performance. The next team is waiting." The rehearsal was forcibly ended.
Surprised and taken aback, Lee Mu Jin stopped his rehearsal. The incident, witnessed by audience members and fans at the venue, quickly spread on social media through videos shared online, sparking widespread criticism.
In response to the controversy, the Expo organizers acknowledged the issue and announced their plan to formally apologize to Lee Mu Jin when he returns on June 7.
