Actors Kang Tae Oh and Kim Se Jeong are teaming up for a new fantasy historical drama.
The two will star as the leads in MBC-TV’s new Friday-Saturday drama 'Moon River' (written by Jo Seung Hee, directed by Lee Dong Hyun). This marks their first time working together.
'Moon River' is a romance historical fantasy drama set against the backdrop of the Joseon era. The story follows a crown prince who has lost his laughter and a peddler who has lost her memory, whose souls become switched, setting off a fateful tale.
Kang Tae Oh plays Crown Prince Lee Kang. Outwardly, he appears reckless and self-indulgent, but beneath that exterior lies the pain of losing his loved one in the fierce power struggles within the palace.
Kim Se Jeong takes on the role of Park Dal Yi, a peddler who has blended into that life after losing part of her past memories. She is quick-witted and silver-tongued.
Their budding romance is set to heighten anticipation, portraying the lively yet heartfelt journey of two people from completely different worlds who clash, banter, and gradually grow closer.
Other cast members include Lee Shin Young as Lee Kang’s cousin Prince Je Un, Hong Su Joo as the ambitious Kim Woo Hee, and Jin Goo as the all-powerful figure Kim Han Cheol.
The production team shared, “From the very first script reading, the actors showed great synergy. With their diverse charms, they will deliver an engaging and entertaining story.”
Meanwhile, 'Moon River' is set to premiere next month on October 31 at 9:50 PM.
