Last month, rising boy group AHOF staged their first-ever ‘Rendezvous’ fan concert in Manila. The sold-out show, which came nearly two months after their debut, drew over 10,000 fans at the venue, marking just the beginning for the group.
During their recent visit to the Philippines, allkpop had the chance to briefly catch up with the members once again to discuss their full-house concert and their hopes for how AHOF will be remembered.

allkpop: Are there any things, foods, or places in the Philippines you're looking forward to experiencing or visiting?
Woongki: JL has recommended Jollibee to us many times, so I really want to try it. When we arrived here, our CEO ordered Jollibee for us, but we couldn't eat it right away. We'll eat it after this interview, and I can't wait.
Daisuke: Even in Korea, JL introduced us to a lot of Filipino snacks and foods. When we got to the Philippines, he explained and talked about many different foods. Now that we're here, we want to try a lot of them.
allkpop: It's been nearly two months since your debut. What has your experience been like doing promotions, interviews, going to music shows, and other idol activities?
JL: Before we started with our promotions, we already knew how hard it would be. Just in our preparations alone, we were already giving it our all. Not only physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. But our excitement outweighs it all, because we finally get to show people what we’ve prepared for a very, very long time. This time, what we’re most excited about is personally meeting the fans. Since most of the time we were just facing a mirror, we’re so excited to be able to perform in front of a lot of people.
Juwon: This was one of the dreams we've been seeing on TV. One of the memories that I really remember is when we performed on a music show. When I was performing and facing our fans, I thought, “Oh, I really am a singer now!”
allkpop: Are you satisfied with the reactions you've seen or heard from your fans and the listeners in general about the album ‘WHO WE ARE’?
Park Han: We've truly felt that the response has gone beyond our expectations, and I'm very thankful for that. The support from our fans has made us even more eager to perform well. We have a strong desire to show our fans what we've prepared through our performances, with a big boom for them.
JL: To be honest, because we prepared so much, I think I would say we're very satisfied with how things are now. But with what we've shown, it's kind of like, “I think we can do better.” It's more of that feeling because we always want to do well and we want to show a perfect stage. But I think there's no such thing as a perfect performance. I think that's what we felt more than the reaction of the people, because whatever their reaction is, we feel very, very happy, so we're very thankful as well.
allkpop: What was your reaction to your first fan concert in Manila being sold out?
Chih En: At first, I wasn't expecting that the show would be sold out. After I heard the news, I wanted to pour all of my passion into the performance I would show the fans.
Juwon: I was really thankful that I would be able to perform at such a big dome in the Philippines. There was also this pressure that I had to perform very well for our fans because, of course, it was a sold-out show
Shuiabo: When I first heard about this, I thought, “Was it really sold out?” I didn't believe it was really sold out. Of course, we really needed to show our best. It's also an honor to be able to hear such things.
allkpop: If there is one thing each of you wants people to remember about AHOF, what would it be?
Shuaibo: We are cool! That we have a perfect and cool vibe in our performances and songs.
Park Han: I want people to remember me by how we're always happy. Because of that happiness, we're very happy in front of people and want our fans to feel happy as well.
Jeongwoo: I believe AHOF is one. We all have different charismatic parts, but when we work together, we become AHOF as one.
JL: For me, it's hope. There were times when we felt like there was no hope, but since we met each other, there is hope. I want people to feel that same way when they see us.
Steven: Firstly, I want AHOF to be remembered forever, not just for a short time, but forever. Maybe we can even become a genre, where people say, “Oh, that song sounds like AHOF.”
Chih En: One word would be performance because we want AHOF to be remembered as good performers. We each have our own charismatic points.
Woongki: I hope people remember us as a one-and-only artist who has their own stories. Thank you!
Juwon: For me, it's sincerity. We are always sincere through our music and performances. From our practices to the day of the show, we're really sincere.
Daisuke: Every member has their own word. Every one of those words is very important to us. Importance is my keyword.
