Sunmi expressed regret about missing the recent on-camera get-together of Wonder Girls members during an appearance on Yubin’s YouTube show ‘Spotturaitu’, uploaded on Sept. 6, 2025 KST.
As a guest, Sunmi recalled the show’s first episode featuring Hyerim, Sohee, and Sunye together. “I couldn’t make it then. Everyone was there… except me,” she said, noting she had a schedule conflict. Yubin replied that the original plan wasn’t a full reunion: “I reached out to people I was most comfortable with. You said you’d come when your album was out, so we left it at that. Then Sohee, Sunye, and Hyerim all matched dates, so we thought, ‘why not do it together?’ and everyone agreed.”
Seeing the thumbnail of the three members sparked mixed feelings for Sunmi: “I honestly thought, ‘ah… that should have been my spot.’ The picture was so pretty. Groups have that special aura—each person is beautiful on their own, but together it’s different.”

She also spoke candidly about variety shows as a six-member group: “I’m not quick on my feet—and I think that’s our group in general,” she joked. Yubin agreed, “We’re not exactly the most nimble type.” Sunmi elaborated: “Imagine all six of us on a show. Someone asks a question and we all stop to think and filter our answers… It makes me nervous just thinking about it.”
That led to a training-days anecdote. Yubin said, “There was that JYP guideline: answer after three seconds.” Sunmi laughed, “But we go way past three seconds—long enough that it could cause a broadcast hiccup.”

Wrapping up, Sunmi offered a lighthearted apology to longtime viewers: “I want to say sorry. For about 19 years on variety shows, our buffering was long and we weren’t that funny. My sincerest apologies.” Yubin added with a grin, “And we probably won’t be that funny in the future, either.” Sunmi asked for understanding: “Please don’t go, ‘oh, it’s Wonder Girls—no fun.’” Yubin closed by emphasizing the group’s subtle humor: “We have our own comedy code. There’s fun in finding those little moments.”
