The National Forensic Service (NFS) has issued a preliminary opinion regarding the cause of death of YouTuber Na Dong Hyun (age 46), known as 'Great Library,' stating that there is no evidence of criminal activity.
On September 8, the Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul announced that after the NFS conducted an autopsy on Na, they conveyed a first verbal opinion indicating "no signs of homicide or other criminal suspicion." The police are focusing on the possibility that he died from an underlying medical condition and plan to close the case once the NFS issues its final autopsy report. Friends of Na have also reportedly stated that he had complained of heart pain before his death.
Na Dong Hyun was found dead on September 6 at his home in Gwangjin District, Seoul. Authorities responded after a friend reported that he had not shown up at a scheduled meeting and could not be reached, but he was already deceased when they arrived. No suicide note or signs of criminal activity were found at the scene.
However, following his sudden death, unverified rumors about his past activities and his ex-wife, streamer Yumdaeng, have been circulating online.
Na began his career around 2010 as a first-generation internet broadcaster. He primarily created gaming reaction videos, and his YouTube channel had 1.44 million subscribers.
Recently, Great Library attended the 2026 S/S Seoul Fashion Week show at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Jung-gu, Seoul. He also hosted a live broadcast on September 3.
His funeral service has been set up at Konkuk University Hospital’s funeral hall. The chief mourners listed are his younger sister and his ex-wife, Yumdaeng. The funeral will be held at 8 AM on September 9, and the burial will take place at the Seoul Municipal Crematorium.
