Actors Gong Hyo Jin and Jung Jun Won are currently in discussions to star in the upcoming drama adaptation of 'A Bona Fide Killer,' based on the popular Kakao Webtoon of the same name.
On June 18, Sports Chosun reported that the two actors have been cast to lead the series. In response to the report, a representative from Management SOOP, the agency of Gong Hyo Jin, stated that the actress has received an offer to appear in the drama and is positively considering the role. Similarly, a source from Alien Company, representing Jung Jun Won, confirmed that the actor is also positively reviewing the offer.
A Bona Fide Killer follows the story of Yu Bo Na, a legendary assassin known by her codename "Kingfisher," who returns to her secret organization after a three-year maternity leave.
Gong Hyo Jin has been offered the role of Yu Bo Na, while Jung Jun Won is in talks to play Kwon Tae Sung, Yu Bo Na’s husband and an investigative news reporter who is committed to uncovering the truth behind Kingfisher’s sudden reappearance.
If both actors confirm their participation, the project is expected to generate significant attention as a compelling blend of action, suspense, and character-driven storytelling.
