Forestella member Ko Woo Rim, fresh off his military discharge, opened up about his private romance with figure skating legend Kim Yuna on MBC's 'Radio Star' on June 18.
Ko shared that the couple secretly dated for four years before making their relationship public, and revealed that it was Kim Yuna who first reached out to him via direct message.
Speaking candidly, Ko added, “When I was debating whether to enlist, Yuna told me, ‘Go serve and come back,’ which gave me tremendous strength,” he said.
During his military service, Ko recalled a memorable moment when Yuna visited him. “When she signed her name on the visitor list as ‘Kim Yuna,’ the entire unit was stunned,” he revealed.
He also shared sweet moments from their post-discharge life, including a romantic honeymoon trip to Paris.
After winning 'Phantom Singer 2' in 2017, the Seoul National University-trained vocalist became a member of crossover group Forestella and earned international acclaim. Following his marriage to Kim Yuna in October 2022 and military service, he chose 'Radio Star' as his first entertainment program to showcase his personality and ambitions beyond music.
Ko Woo Rim continues preparing for Forestella’s July comeback and upcoming concerts in Seoul, Busan, and Daegu.
