T-ara member Jiyeon marked her first birthday since her divorce with a bright smile, signaling a fresh start.
On June 15, Jiyeon shared several birthday celebration photos on her social media, accompanied by a heart emoji.
In the revealed photos, Jiyeon is seen taking selfies on her birthday (June 7), wearing a sash that reads "Birthday Queen." Even without extravagant decorations, her radiant and lovable visuals clearly reflected the presence of a former girl group center. Her joyful expression captured the warm, simple yet special birthday atmosphere.
In another photo, Jiyeon showcased her charming side by posing with a small cake in her hand, making a heart gesture with her cheeks.
She also shared a snapshot from a fan meet-up, striking a lively pose while wearing sunglasses and looking straight into the camera. What especially caught attention were the tattoos on both her arms. Jiyeon boldly revealed her tattoos, showcasing a new image transformation.
Just days earlier, on June 5, she had also posted a photo of a floral tattoo on her arm, showcasing a different style.
Fans expressed surprise and support at this image change, which had not been seen from her before.
Jiyeon married KT Wiz professional baseball player Hwang Jae Gyun in December 2022 to much public celebration, but by June of the following year, rumors of divorce began circulating.
Although both parties remained quiet at first, the divorce was finalized through mediation in November, ending their nearly two-year marriage.
In April of this year, Jiyeon attended fellow T-ara member Hyomin’s wedding, showing that their friendship remains strong.
