Actress and artist Arin, a member of girl group Oh My Girl, celebrated her birthday with a meaningful act of generosity.
On June 18, her agency ATRP announced, “Arin recently donated 20 million KRW(approx.14,400 USD)to the Beautiful Foundation in celebration of her birthday. The donation will go toward supporting education and living expenses for youth preparing to live independently after leaving the care system.”
Since 2021, Arin has consistently made charitable donations in honor of her birthday or Coming-of-Age Day. She has shown continued interest in helping young people transition to independence and in supporting homeless or at-risk youth. Her philanthropic efforts also include donating coal briquettes to energy-poor households and contributing to wildfire recovery efforts.
Earlier in March this year, she donated 20 million KRW(approx.14,400 USD) to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association to aid recovery from wildfires in the Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam regions.
“I wanted to send heartfelt support to youth preparing for independence,” Arin said. “I hope this serves as a source of courage and hope for those starting anew.”
Meanwhile, Arin continues to actively pursue both music and acting. She was recently recognized for her global acting potential after her webtoon-based drama S Line appeared on the pink carpet at Canneseries.
