BTS is expected to return as a full group in March 2026, marking their first comeback since beginning mandatory military service.
According to multiple industry insiders, including a representative from HYBE, the group’s comeback is set for March next year. The anticipated return comes as the group’s final member, SUGA, is scheduled to complete his military service this Saturday. This will conclude the 18-month enlistment period for all seven members.
An overseas source familiar with the matter stated that while the exact date has not been finalized, the comeback will likely take place in mid-March. It is expected to coincide with the return of their labelmates TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT), although either group could return first.
Another industry official mentioned that ENHYPEN, a boy group under HYBE’s subsidiary BELIFT LAB, originally planned to return in March 2026. However, their comeback schedule was reportedly moved up to January to avoid overlapping with BTS’s highly anticipated return. BTS is signed under Big Hit Music which operates as part of HYBE’s multi-label system.
Despite the growing speculation, Big Hit Music commented that the comeback schedule has not been confirmed.
Although a March comeback may seem distant, HYBE CEO Lee Jae Sang explained during a shareholder meeting in March that the members would need sufficient time to prepare and focus on creative activities after their discharge.
He said they are working with top-tier producers, but the artists also need time to reflect and recharge.
In the meantime, the group's eldest member Jin is set to begin his solo fan concert tour, titled 'Runseokjin_EP.Tour,' on June 28 and 29 in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. The tour will include 18 shows across nine cities, including Chiba and Osaka in Japan, Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa, and Newark in the United States, as well as London and Amsterdam. The tour is scheduled to continue through August 10. Given this packed schedule, the possibility of a full-group comeback within 2025 appears low.
However, some industry sources have suggested that a pre-release single or a separate project may be released before the official comeback.
