
Actor Shin Seung Ho has been exempted from mandatory military service following a anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear and undergoing surgery.
On June 18(KST), a representative from his agency, King Kong by Starship, confirmed to local media that Shin underwent surgery in 2021 after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear during personal activities. As a result, he was later deemed unfit for military service.
Shin, a former soccer player, made his modeling debut in 2016 before transitioning into acting. He gained popularity through roles in web dramas such as 'A-TEEN', and further solidified his presence in the industry with performances in 'D.P.', 'Alchemy of Souls', 'Weak Hero Class 1', and the film 'Pilot'.
He is also currently appearing in the tvN variety show 'Handsome Guys'.
Shin Seung Ho is set to return to the big screen in July with the release of the highly anticipated film 'Omniscient Reader'.
