ADOR has once again called on NewJeans to return to group activities, following a court ruling that reaffirmed the agency’s legal status as the group’s management.
On June 17, the Seoul High Court dismissed the members' appeal regarding an injunction filed by ADOR. The court upheld an earlier ruling by the Seoul Central District Court, which sided entirely with ADOR in its request to maintain its exclusive management rights over the group and block independent advertising deals by the members.
Following the latest decision, ADOR released an official statement on June 18, expressing gratitude to the court and encouraging the members to return to their group activities. The agency also pledged its full support as the group approaches its third debut anniversary in July.
NewJeans had claimed that their exclusive contracts were terminated in November 2024 due to ADOR’s alleged breach of contract and began pursuing independent promotions. In response, ADOR filed a lawsuit to confirm the validity of the contracts and sought an injunction to prohibit the members' independent activities.
The ongoing dispute has drawn significant public attention, with many fans hoping for a resolution ahead of the group’s anniversary.
