On May 30, Sony Music Vision held a content showcase event in Los Angeles, USA, where it announced that a new solo documentary film featuring BLACKPINK’s Lisa is in production.
The film will chronicle approximately one year of Lisa’s journey following her solo debut, offering an in-depth look into her independent career and creative vision. The documentary will feature various aspects of her life, including behind-the-scenes footage from the making of her debut album, “Rockstar”, her first solo performance at Coachella, her acting ventures, and personal moments spent with her family.
Director Soo Kim, who previously directed Apple TV Plus’s documentary series 'Welcome to K-Pop: Idol Stories,' is at the helm of the project.
Soo Kim stated, “I wanted to make sure Lisa knew that so many fans want to see who she is off stage,” explaining the motivation behind the film.
The director added, “There were so many surprising moments while working with her. Audiences will get a glimpse into unexpected stories and a world of Lisa that hasn’t been seen before.”
Lisa also shared her thoughts in an official statement, saying, “I feel truly lucky to be able to capture these special moments on film and share them with my fans.”
During the showcase, the production team previewed select scenes from the documentary. However, the title and release date have yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, Lisa is set to kick off the '2025 BLACKPINK World Tour – Memories' at Goyang Stadium on July 5–6.
