B.A.P’s Youngjae to star in new CJ ENM drama project.
On September 3 KST, Youngjae's agency, ACOMPASS, announced via an official press release that "Youngjae has been cast as the lead in the third installment of CJ ENM's drama project 'O'PENing 2024,' titled 'Our Beautiful Summer' (written by Choi Haneul, directed by Jung Dahyung)."
'Our Beautiful Summer' is a coming-of-age drama that tells the story of a 19-year-old girl who wishes to die and a 19-year-old boy who wants to save her, capturing a fleeting and irreplaceable summer in their lives.
Yoo Youngjae will play the role of Na Areum, a model student who, as the eldest of quadruplets, garners attention wherever he goes for his natural good looks. He is also known for his willingness to help his friends with any difficult tasks.
Yoo Youngjae has previously showcased his steady acting skills in dramas such as 'Woman of 9.9 Billion,' 'Mr. Queen,' and 'Police University,' as well as in the film 'Sing a Song.' Additionally, he has been cast as the lead in the musical 'Butch Hanon,' which will open on September 17th at the Hongik Art Center Grand Theater in Seoul, demonstrating his versatile talents across various genres including music, musicals, and drama.
The first episode of 'Our Beautiful Summer,' the third work in the 'O'PENing 2024' series, will air on tvN on September 14 at 11 PM KST, with the second episode following on September 15 at 11:10 PM KST.
