NCT member Doyoung, currently serving in the military, shared his thoughts regarding Mark’s departure from the group.
On April 3, Doyoung posted a lengthy message on his social media, stating, “I realized that staying silent and merely waiting for time to pass is neither me nor NCT 127. So I want to express my feelings in my own words.”
He continued, “Mark has been a friend I love more than anyone, and he remains that way. We’ve shared and discussed things for a long time. I’ve decided to understand everything in ‘beloved Mark’s’ heart and continue to support him endlessly. I would be grateful if everyone could listen to his longstanding sincerity and concerns without prejudice.”
Doyoung added, “For the time being, we won’t be able to see NCT 127 with Mark, but if the moment comes when we can reunite, we will prepare and plan for it wholeheartedly.”
He also expressed his concern over public reactions, saying, “If doubts and baseless speculation arise regarding Mark and the other members, it would bring unbearable sadness and frustration. Please allow us to preserve the unique beauty we’ve shared with our fans for over ten years.”
Addressing NCTzens, Doyoung said, “Although the sense of loss and sadness may be inevitable, I will strive to gift happiness that lies ahead.”
Meanwhile, on the same day, Mark announced his departure from both NCT 127 and NCT Dream after 10 years since debut, and confirmed that he has terminated his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment.
