Singer Kangnam and former speed skating athlete Lee Sang Hwa have revealed their home in Japan.
Recently, a video titled 'Kangnam and Lee Sang Hwa couple’s life in Japan' was uploaded on Kian84's YouTube channel. Kian84, who was visiting Japan, was invited into their home, offering a glimpse into the couple’s residence located near Haneda Airport.
The home boasted a clean interior despite the building being 40 years old. Kian84 explained, "In Japanese apartments, you pay not only maintenance fees but also repair costs every month." He added, "The two (Kangnam and Lee Sang Hwa) spend about one week of each month here in Japan."
Upon entering their home, Kian84 looked out the window and expressed admiration for the view. Pointing things out one by one, he said, "In the distance, you can see Tokyo Disneyland, and next to it is the 'Diamond and Flower Ferris Wheel.' When it was completed in 2001, it was the second tallest in the world."

He then pointed toward central Tokyo and said, "On clear days, you can even see Mount Fuji."
Kangnam and Lee Sang Hwa also introduced more of their living space, showing off the cork flooring and wardrobe with a 40 year history. Regarding the marks scattered across the doors and walls, Kangnam joked, "(These are) marks left from when I got hit with a frying pan by my mom when I was younger. (The others are) holes made when my mom punched the wall."

In the past, Kangnam appeared on MBC's 'I Live Alone' and JTBC's 'Welcome Back to School,' gaining sympathy for his relatable charm while showing moments of financial struggle. Later, in 2014, he appeared on JTBC's 'Ssulzun,' where he revealed conflicts with his father, who opposed his career as a singer, and surprised many by stating his intention to refuse taking over the family business.
It was later revealed that Kangnam comes from a family that owns a near conglomerate level business in Japan, drawing attention. His father operates a hotel business in Japan, and professional golfer Kim Woo Hyun is known to be his cousin, further highlighting the family’s wealth.

During the episode, however, the married couple shared glimpses of their calm, everyday life, going grocery shopping and buying bentos discounted by up to 60% by the end of the day. They explained that they rarely cook dinner and instead enjoy convenient and delicious market bentos each evening.
