Park Hyung Sik and Park Gyu Young are set to return with a unique “military-completed” romance, reuniting as former army superior and subordinate who cross paths again in the workplace.
On April 6, Netflix unveiled the casting lineup for its upcoming series 'A Proper Romance' (written by Kim Hana, directed by Nam Sung Woo), confirming the two stars in leading roles.
The drama is an office romance that flips traditional power dynamics. It follows the story of a former military senior and junior who reunite as the CEO and a new employee at a camping apparel company.

Park Hyung Sik will play Na Jung Seok, the company’s CEO. Though he was once so timid that he struggled to adapt to military life, he has since proven his capabilities by successfully building his own business.
Park Gyu Young takes on the role of Woo Ah Mi, a rookie employee and former Special Forces soldier. Known by the nickname “Viper” for her fearless nature during her service, she joins Jung Seok’s company after her discharge.
The series will be directed by Nam Sung Woo, known for effectively portraying emotional dynamics and relationships in dramas such as 'My Lovely Liar' and 'My Roommate Is a Gumiho.'
Writer Kim Hana, who has previously drawn both excitement and emotional resonance through works like 'Heartbeat' and 'My Secret Romance,' is in charge of the script.
Meanwhile, 'A Proper Romance' has yet to confirm its release schedule and will be available on Netflix at a later date.
