SF9's Chani reportedly cast in upcoming historical drama 'Umbrella' alongside Kim Hye Soo

SF9's Chani has reportedly been cast in the upcoming tvN historical drama 'Umbrella'.

According to reports on July 27, Chani will be starring in 'Umbrella' alongside top actress Kim Hye Soo. The historical drama will depict the struggle of people living in the Middle Ages and the fight for the crown prince in a black comedy light. 

If cast, Chani will be taking on the role of the clever and beautiful martial artist Uiseong-gun. Though he was born of a concubine, he believes he's noble because he has the king's blood flowing through him. 

'Umbrella' is expected to premiere later this year.
