Shortly after SM Entertainment announces plans to hold an audition tour in China, Netizens started to react negatively towards SM Entertainment because of previous incidents including Chinese idols and groups being mishandled by the company.

Many comments include how SM is being hypocritical because they are mistreating Chinese idols and groups and yet they are holding auditions to Chinese nationals. Other are saying the even the poster of the announcement doesn't even include their current NCT sub-unit WayV or Soloist Lay.

What do you think about this controversy?

Tons of people will audition regardless. It's the same reason so many Korean kids debut in groups from shady companies: they're desperate. They're chasing their dream and it's hard dream to have -the idol market is oversaturated and there are limited opportunities to become one. They're even less opportunities for foreigners, so even though there have been multiple controversies with SM and their Chinese artists in the past, people are still going to jump at the chance.

I can almost hear LuTaoris crying with laughter (or maybe it's just Tao's torn ligament crying, idk).
