Although the relationship between Korea and Japan suddenly faltered, BTS's activities in Japan seemed to face no difficulty.
In two days July 6 and 7, BTS held the "LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF" concert belonging to the stadium tour at Yanmar Osaka stadium, Japan. Known as the home ground of the professional football team Cerezo Osaka which plays for Japan's J League, this 50,000-seat stadium has been filled by ARMY in 2 consecutive days of the performance.
Recently, Korea and Japan suddenly initiated a ''cold war'' in terms of economics, politics, and diplomacy. The relation between the two countries reached its worst point when the Japanese government adjusted the export of semiconductor to Korea as economic retaliation against the verdict of Supreme Court of South Korea demanding compensation for the event when Korean people were drafted for military service in the past.
However, ARMY in Japan and all over the world gathering at the concert expressed their affection and seemed unbothered by the above intense situation.
On Oricon's Weekly Singles chart - Japan's typical music chart, BTS's album ''Lights/Boy With Luv'' has retained the top spot for 3 days, since its release until July 5. Single ''Lights/Boy With Luv'' is drawing passionate love as it helped BTS become the first Korean singer to sell 1 million copies in Japan.
Besides, BTS will hold the second stadium concert in Japan at Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa on July 13 and 14.
