Sulli emphasizes the importance of using good quality products during menstruation

Sulli shared thoughts on feminine products.

On the January 15 airing of Naver V Live's 'Jinri Store,' Sulli had a meeting with the representatives from the feminine product brand Chungdam Girl

During the discussion, Sulli shared, "I think women need to use good products during menstruation. The difference is huge. Many women need to know this." She continued, "I use cotton (reusable) feminine products but you have to constantly wash it so that's uncomfortable."

Sulli's friend Mimi shared, "I use menstruation cups but pads are comfier. It's uncomfortable inserting the menstruation cups."

I really like these kind of topics, it's really interesting (as a woman) and also, helps to demostrate how periods are not taboo

Sulli must feel so free now that she's not an idol. She can pretty much talk about anything and do anyhthing she wants!

I hear a lot of discussions related to idols, famous people and how they have to worry about scandals, how it seems they can't just be their true self. I myself have questioned their lifestyles and what they can and cannot do. I have always voiced my true opinion. I don't care how rich or famous I could ever be, I would still be "human". I would still have "freedom". Others can only have as much control over you as you allow them to. When you put your foot down and let it be known what you won't do, how you won't be someone that you're not, how you still have a right to say what you feel and express your true feelings, still be your true self, they will either have to accept it or get lost. Because a person is an "idol", which I must say that I look at no person as an idol. To call a person an idol is like saying you look at them as if they were a God. I look at no mortal beings as if they are a God for they are not. I myself just call famous people "stars", not idols. The only people I put high are God and the parents that raised me. There are some things not worth money and fame and that is to lose my true self. Not me. That's like selling your soul and when you sell your soul, you may not be able to get it back. 24 hours a day, all day and every day, I would still be free.

Why? It’s more sustainable, in France more and more women use reusable sanitary products and I don’t see what’s the problem

It’s not exactly more sustainable if people are still using non reusable At a higher rate... and no one wants to be constantly cleaning up blood it’s disgusting. It also requires a shit load of water.

It's not sanitary, you run a higher risk of TSS and you'll be pouring toxic cleaning fluids down the drain when you have to bleach the blood out of them.

Hey, TSS is caused by Tampons more often and not Pads. When tampons are left inside the person for a very long time TSS can develop. She uses cotton pads which can just be washed with water and baby shampoo. Much safer. :)

People are actually starting to use it more since the world is turning into a junk yard and we delve deeper into the apocalypse

reusable sanitary pads are amazing :) by not containing plastic allow your area to breathe while you use them, and you save a lot of money too....

Wow. This is new to me. Reusable feminine products. Where have I been. Like I say, it's always interesting to learn new things. This is my first time hearing about a menstruation cup. Thank God I don't have to worry about this stuff now. I haven't had to worry about this for a long time (thank goodness). When I was younger the only thing I ever knew about here in the US was pads and tampons and they are not reusable. I would not want to use anything reusable. Tampons you use them and throw them away, using a fresh one each time you change. I must say that for girls who are virgins, this can be very uncomfortable and some girls may not even be able to use them due to uncomfort. I could not use them until I was in my late teens as they were very uncomfortable for me. It depends on each person. Each person's body is different. Tampons can cause something called Toxic Shock Syndrome and they can make a person become very sore and are hard and uncomfortable to insert and even more uncomfortable to reinsert for someone who is a virgin. Tampons can make a person become very dry inside and that makes them uncomfortable to even remove. For girls who are virgins, the pads are the most comfortable to use, even though one may not like to wear them, and they should be worn at night instead of tampons. The vagina needs a rest. Tampons in my opinion should mainly be worn in the daytime hours, when one is on the go or active, not at home relaxing. I have never used the menstruation cup. I never heard of that when I was young. Times change and with it comes new inventions all the time. Not having a period is something I am so happy for. I don't miss it at all. Periods are not taboo, they are a part of life. God created us, as well as how our body functions.

I have my menstruation and I never heard of reusable things for this... And I wouldn't use them, it seems very risky for me with hygiene problems, I don't want to mess with this :/ I rarely used tampons myself, I'm one of these girls who can't support them for a long time, it's just very uncomfortable, and I always fear that they not absorb correctly and they have leak.

But it's cool for Sully to talk about this type of things, for a public personna subjects personnals can be very hard to talk

Menstruation cups are reusable and hygienic, but I find them a bit off-putting anyway (that's a personal preference though). It's also interesting that Sulli uses reusable cotton pads (I kind of thought it's a thing of a past), but that's actually safe as well, as long as you give them a proper wash in high temp. I feel like everyone is forcing tampons as the best thing ever, but I'm also more comfortable with pads, nothing wrong with using them.

Every country should have an open conversation about it, as it shouldn't be a taboo topic.

Tampons don't leak, like, ever.. Unless you're using the wrong size maybe... it'll also only start leaking if you don't change often enough, everyone has different bloodflow though so everyone should know which tampon suits their flow.

Personally I've never liked the pads because of the heat they make, I've never liked it if my lower regions feels overly wet 24/7 😅

But tampons are a lifesaver when you're on your period and want to swim ... actually the first time i got my period, i had to use tampons first of everything because i was just about to swim in a pool.. i must admit they are a bit uncomfortable to insert but they're fine when fitted correctly. But then again, it's all up to opinion.

I use pads mostly. Only tampons in special cases...

I don't know if a lot people are a aware of this, but during the summer it was found that a lot of menstruation products in Korea had toxic ingredients in them. This is actually so important for people to hear right now.
