On the January 7th installment of 'Infinity Challenge', the 'Infinity Challenge' members held their own ceremony and gave each other awards. At the end of his acceptance speech, Kwanghee expressed, "I'll be walking the drill ground in 2017," to which everyone clapped.

HaHa said, "Can't we give him something," and Yang Se Hyung suggested, "Let's all at least give him a calendar." Yoo Jae Suk then added, "Let's all sign a calendar and give it to him."

In other news, ZE:A's contracts with Star Empire Entertainment came to an end this year.

I want Kwang Soo or Daesung to replace him in the meantime.

Hm... I'm kinda worried about this. He entered IC not long ago, and it's not even been that long and now he'll be away from 2 years soon... Would IC still want him by the time he's back.. plus, if ZE:A is really disbanding, he won't even have a group to be in.. I just hope he won't be forgotten and unwanted by the entertainment industry. Sometimes I feel like he's not as popular and well-liked compared to other idols...

I like that the picture they used for the article is from when he used to look sorta human.

I'm hoping Noh Hong Chul, Gil, and Jung Hyung Don will come back. Kwanghee can come back if he wants, but the 3 needs to come back on the show.

yooonoon k_kid Saturday, January 7, 2017

They've all expressed in past interviews that they won't come back.. :/

k_kid yooonoon Saturday, January 7, 2017

I'm sure they'll come back, just don't know when. Even Yoo Jae Suk said in his Grand Prize speech that he wants to stand together with Noh Hong Chul, Gil, and Jung Hyung Don on IC again soon.

Is he a man?

ThreeDelivery Saturday, January 7, 2017

He's so goofy I just can't picture him in the military.

hana_sakura ThreeDelivery Sunday, January 8, 2017

Hope he becomes more manly when he returns!

ThreeDelivery hana_sakura Monday, January 9, 2017

He might.

and hopefully his spot for someone else

souga Saturday, January 7, 2017

Wait, Does that mean he's going to leave infinity challenge? Or is he going to return after being discharged?

kentv souga Saturday, January 7, 2017

Well, I doubt a spot would be held open for him. It would depend a lot on where the show is near the time of his enlistment ending. If there was a vacancy in he cast he might be considered, but there would likely be no guarantee. This is probably a good time for him to do this though as his contract with his agency is expiring, so he would need to navigate that process of finding a new agency or representing himself, and he doesn't have much longer before he would have to serve anyway, so some agencies wouldn't be that interested in him at this time as he's about to stop earning for a few years regardless. He's done good enough work on the show to demonstrate he can work in the field as a regular variety show cast member, so if he does his service now, he has a good chance of coming out of service in two years, signing with an agency, and getting cast on an ensemble show and finding other work on additional shows on TV or radio gigs.

Haha came back after he did his 2 years of military. Depending on the situation when Kwanghee comes out, it could be highly possible they'll leave a spot open for him. They went thru the trouble of finding the "6th man" so it would be a waste to not let him back... :/

kentv xhaydn Sunday, January 8, 2017

A lot probably depends on what is going on with the cast of the show at that time. Such shows have certain amount of turnover, so if someone left the show or their contract wasn't renewed the producers might hold that spot open if he was near the end of his enlistment at that time. I can't see a producer telling someone that they will hold their job for them for two years in an industry where two years can be a very long time and even a wildly popular show could suddenly be cancelled due to changes in audience tastes, financial problems with he network or production company, or a scandal. When HaHa came back did he fill a vacancy that had arisen or did they increase the size of the cast? So often such shows are on tight budgets and don't increase cast size as that is a big cost increase. To a certain extent, the 6th man was an unexpected problem (A cast member having to resign) that was turned into opportunity for a fun arc of shows to audition a replacement. They almost certainly saw the return on the investment for that already and now they could get the opportunity to do it again casting Kwanghee's spot. No matter what Kwanghee will likely be okay as he has built a good resume, and it certainly helps that Jae Suk and others seem to like him and will put a good word in for him when he gets out and is looking for gigs even if they don't have something on their own shows.

finally, no more of him on the show. hopefully his replacement is actually funny.
