NCT 127 officially began promoting the title track from their 2nd mini album 'Limitless' this January 5, through Mnet's 'M! Countdown'.

The NCT unit returned this time with 2 new members - Johnny and Doyoung. During an interview while waiting for the live broadcast of 'M! Countdown', the two new members gave their thoughts on joining their labelmates.

Johnny said about his rehearsal stage, "I'm disappointed about parts of it, but because it's my first time, I think I won't be able to help but feel a little disappointment, whatever stage it is." He continued about debuting with NCT 127, "I'm glad that I'm able to stand on stage with the members whom I've practiced with since I was young. I'll show more of me [in the future]."

Doyoung said, "I think I was able to join [NCT 127] comfortably since they've been doing well up until now and they have things built up. I also strongly believe that because we are now 9, we have to show our improvement by working harder."

Are you liking NCT 127's new song "Limitless"?

I can't help but feel SM used Johnny. That they only put him in the group as a safety net so that the comeback wouldn't flop. Like SM knows how famous Johnny already was when he was a rookie and I feel that they just used that to secure the comeback. I was looking at the line distribution for some of the songs and in Back 2 U he literally has two words out of the entire song and they were part of the backing vocals. I love all of the members, they all deserve the lines they have because they're all amazing, but Johnny didn't spend 9 years of his life being slept on by SM - within those 9 years being pulled out from debuting with EXO - to be treated like this. But the most important thing is if he's happy, and if he is, I'm happy for him but I'm still going to be salty at SM for this...

he's probs just thankful he's finally debuted after 400 years

I love rough version of "Limitless" to death. Johnny has just earned himself a spot on my bias list. His oooh and the way he looks at Doyoung and at the camera leaves me with my mouth agape every time. He is so hot. Anyway, this is just my very own personal opinion.

I totally agree

Sweet_Milk_Tea Friday, January 6, 2017

he deserved better than just 5 seconds of singing in Limitless though.

Sweet_Milk_Tea Friday, January 6, 2017

Johnny, I mean.

kimmiefonze Friday, January 6, 2017

I've been told that this is Johnny's debut... And I'm not stanning for NCT only because 17, EXO, SuJu, BTS, and BigBang is enough, but I always thought he was an MC because of that show he does with Teukkie for SM...

what johnny really meant: fking finally that im debuting, tired of being in that trainee cave

themightymoron Friday, January 6, 2017

johnny isn't a stage name at all, SM, i'm telling you...

Sweet_Milk_Tea themightymoron Friday, January 6, 2017

his real legal birth name is John Seo (not Youngho Seo). Johnny is one of the common nicknames for John so they used that for his stage name.

themightymoron Sweet_Milk_Tea Friday, January 6, 2017

they could go with J-something. johnny is like a name of that kid in 9th grade who loves power ranger so much... not to be bashing the guy, but SM really have bad taste when it comes to 'westernifying' stuff.

Black_wind themightymoron Friday, January 6, 2017

it doesn't really seem that way to people from non-English speaking countries, you know....

themightymoron Black_wind Friday, January 6, 2017

i'm from a non-english speaking country, but with decent education and exposure to western culture, i think you can relate to what i feel. moreover, SM is trying so bad to coat this the american-ish way, so it make sense for people all around the world to consume this like a 'western' or 'global' product, but apparently the creative heads there lacks the taste/education/exposure to the culture to make this a really-really global product. prove? remember all the weird english names SM has ever come up with? high five of teenagers? M.I.L.K? Typhoon of the Rose Attack on X-mas a.k.a TRAX?

Black_wind themightymoron Friday, January 6, 2017

yeah, surprise surprise... the exposure to "western culture" is completely different in Korea. And all the things you are mentioning is those old groups and around that time k-pop really wasn't there to be an export product for the western world.

caitlinnolly themightymoron Friday, January 6, 2017

is he not allowed to promote using the name he's pretty much always been known as??????

themightymoron caitlinnolly Friday, January 6, 2017

i simply voiced my opinion, he's gonna promote with that name anyway right? my single opinion is not gonna change anything, might as well voice it.

themightymoron Black_wind Friday, January 6, 2017

well you're correct on those old groups, still, i felt like they are coursing this westernification to a weird way, that shows that they lack the research. and i know how feudal and hierarchical the systems are on those multinational agency like SM, so my theory is there are some elder brasses holding back ideas from youngsters who might be more knowledgable on their target market than the previous era youngsters.

Black_wind themightymoron Friday, January 6, 2017

yes well,Korean society is like that... the elders are no.1 and the only thing you can do is to follow them. But they are not going to live forever.....

vteebby Friday, January 6, 2017

i love them and all but why is SM putting my baby Ten in the basement?! i thought he initially didn't joing NCT 127 because he was on Hit the Stage. but now its over why isn't SM adding him there?!

MaryScary vteebby Friday, January 6, 2017

sm struggled with lines when there were 7 members. it's even worse with 9. i really dont think they can do 10.
