In an interview with 'International bnt,' LABOUM's Solbin talked about variety shows and the kindness of other idols.

When asked what kind of singer she wanted to become, she revealed, "When I was young, I wanted to be a singer while watching Lee Hyori.  At the time, I wanted to debut in a girl crush-worthy group like Black Pink, both classy and strong."

Solbin said about how she's been, "I'm so happy right now.  I'm an MC on 'Music Bank' and TV Chosun's 'Idol Party' and am working on drama JTBC's 'Solomon's Perjury' which will be unveiled in early December.  When I'm busy, I can't even sleep thirty minutes a day.  My 'Music Bank' co-MC Minhyuk [of 'CNBLUE'] was very caring.  When I ran into him on other music shows, he bought all our members and staff members coffee.

"I was impressed by Heechul's improvisational skills when I went on JTBC's 'A Hyung I Know.'  He made the atmosphere comfortable while being witty on the program.  He was very cool and professional.  During the shoot, I was paired up with Heechul and he was very considerate beside me so that I could comfortably get used to it.  If I got the chance, I would like to appear on 'A Hyung I Know' with the LABOUM members and pair up once again with Heechul."

When asked what other variety shows she wanted to go on, she said, "I watched MBC's 'Infinity Challenge' without missing a single episode from the first episode.  I watched it diligently since elementary school.  I even bought the calendar made by the program. I want to go on it no matter what and no matter how hard the work is."

I think Laboum can do strong girl crush concepts as well.

jpnAyelor Thursday, December 1, 2016

Is she saying her group isn't classy and strong

suckmybootyhole jpnAyelor Thursday, December 1, 2016

Lol I guess 😂 But Laboum is more on the soft, cute, fluffy, and pretty side.

thefabcat92 Thursday, December 1, 2016

rooting for infinite challenge guesting!

shizun Thursday, December 1, 2016

As someone that likes Laboum, this is sad for me. They are cute, but not the ordinary cute style. Too bad. I was seeing this group in a different light. Now that light is gone. She doesn't  like her group, she wanted something like BP.  My Latte got a bit cold. :(

CherryTokki shizun Thursday, December 1, 2016

that doesn't mean she doesn't like her group, that means she doesn't like their style. Which is set by the company, Not the member's choice. Maybe she's hinting at her company to change their style into a more badass one. I think they could pull it off. Laboum has gone nowhere with their cute concept, maybe it really is time for a change.

shizun CherryTokki Friday, December 2, 2016

Yes, I meant the style, not the girls of course.

NoonaVip Thursday, December 1, 2016

This girl know what she wants

kissmy4head Thursday, December 1, 2016

Idk why companies go with cutesy concept rather than girl crush. Female fans are more loyal and will stay with them too. Look at BP, girl crush concept and got ton of female fans already. Female fans are hungry to stan girl groups too. Companies should try to cater to female fans if they want longitivtiy for their groups.

Most males like the cute "school girl" look which in my opinion is yuck and unhealthy. You see the majority of groups that look like "Women" with limited success. Ala Dal Shabet, Rainbow, Nine Muses, Stellar etc. If they mix it they get somewhere ala Sistar, Secret, Girls day. Otherwise only if they have major bucks behind them they get somewhere (Big3) or MAJOR talent and something different (Mamamoo perhaps)

I understand her, too many girl groups are doing cute concepts. It must feel suffocating to her. Try signing under YG once your contract expires. But then again, YG's signature dungeons will be waiting for you. So that would not be a safe route either. Aigoo, eoteokhe???

kpophilippines twinklefairy Thursday, December 1, 2016

I dont know any problems in YG, what do you man by this "Try signing under YG once your contract expires. But then again, YG's signature dungeons will be waiting for you."?

Holly_Pockets kpophilippines Thursday, December 1, 2016

lol u must be new to kpop, YG artists barely makes comebacks. Big Bang once didn't make a come back for 3 years (minus solo activities) Winner didn't come back for 1.5 years. Fans joke that during those hiatus the artists are locked up in YG dungeons.

_CLeO Holly_Pockets Thursday, January 5, 2017

But atleast BIGBANG's comeback song after their 3 year hiatus was a total hit! Hoping the same for WINNER this year

kpoplolita Thursday, December 1, 2016

even seniors wanna be like blackpink. im so glad that despite what haters say, at least professionals in the industry recognize blackpinks colour (still rookies btw) :)

aiki Thursday, December 1, 2016

she signed with the wrong company than..

SHINeeSLAYhaterS Thursday, December 1, 2016

we NEED more groups like BlackPink

Park_Oppa SHINeeSLAYhaterS Thursday, December 1, 2016

No, it will be an overflow and the kpop market is oversaturated.

SHINeeSLAYhaterS Park_Oppa Thursday, December 1, 2016

we're already overflowed with the annoying cutey girl concept it wouldnt hurt for a company to spice something up instead of going the safe route

Kpopkstyle Park_Oppa Thursday, December 1, 2016

Just one Blackpink is enough around GG with the same same same concept cute or sexy with same song and same choregraphy so boring

Park_Oppa SHINeeSLAYhaterS Thursday, December 1, 2016

Then we will be overflown with the same exact concept like BP. And once again the kpop market is oversaturated. We seriously don't need more groups debuting. In 2015 over 99 kpop groups debuted but only 5-10 made half of them are from big 3 companies. It's getting harder and harder for groups to be successful with the market being oversaturated.

Park_Oppa Thursday, December 1, 2016

5-10 made it*

SHINeeSLAYhaterS Park_Oppa Thursday, December 1, 2016

not saying we dont have enough groups. theres been over 200 since 2014. about 95% flopped. why. because of the recycled and boring concept. if more groups went for concepts like BlackPink, or Sistar, or even After School or f(x) or Wonder Girls or MAMAmoo i think more groups would have been popular. They all want to be like GG though. its whats holding kpop back. less groups, more quality is all im saying
