IU talks about feeling depressed and inadequate in the past

IU opened up to fans during her concert over the weekend!

She sang her songs that were huge hits in 2014 and then spoke honestly about how she felt during that year.  IU said, "That was the year lots of people liked me.  But in one way, I felt weird and grew depressed.  It made me wonder if I deserved such compliments.  

"I was unable to enjoy those compliments and, if anything, while pondering over it, I started to disparage myself.  It was the year with the best conditions for my happiness, but I couldn't trust myself that year and had a hard time.  It was hard for me to promote.

"And that is how I got insomnia.  I couldn't sleep at all, so I was unable to properly do the things I had to during the daytime.  That's why I was dispirited and in a vicious, repetitive cycle."

Hope next year is far better!
