A clip of Choi Yoo Jung crying at a recent fan meeting is receiving a lot of attention from netizens.

The fan cam and GIF were taken from a recent fan meeting in Busan. IOI member, Choi Yoo Jung, was seen holding back her tears while finishing up a performance. Netizens speculate that she is sad about the team's disbandment in January of 2017.

One netizen commented, "IOI is the best group...So sad they will be gone, but I hope they are happy after IOI is over, too" and another said, "It's okay...It's sad, but they'll still be able to see each other."

Wait i don't get what happening.. why are they disbanding?

mindlessdream Jelly_May_Donut Sunday, October 16, 2016

They are only a special group made from the show who promotes for a year before going back to their respective companies and debut (or debuted) officially under them.

Girl I feel you, at the end of this year I'm gonna cry too

I rather like the idea that IOI Group will end soon enough. It is like IOI does 'go out' on a HIGH NOTE. Instead of dragging on to the point where they become somewhat repetitive. And Fans of IOI *will* be able to see a past IOI member debut in a New Group (most likely). The IOI members should be somewhat 'coveted' as they already have some visibility in K-pop.

Personally, I wish to see SOMI as New 4th Member of MISS A Group. NOBODY agrees with me. But I think FANS would *love* a SUZY + SOMI situation. And SOMI has the skill set for it ; and the attitude. It would get YOUNGER AGE K-pop Fans to take a look once *again* at MISS A Group. (Joking) SUZY is getting OLD at Age 23 ... ;-)

they have an expiration date? why?

megamanx argie62 Saturday, October 15, 2016

They are all signed to different labels and was only temporary group from Produce 101.

Gallifreyan7 Saturday, October 15, 2016

I'm not a fan but still find it sad.

mydeerlikesbacon Saturday, October 15, 2016

I'm really upset too. We need IOI in kpop. They just can't be replaced with any other group.

mydeerlikesbacon Saturday, October 15, 2016

lmao dislike my comment all you want, doesn't change he fact that IOI is irreplaceable

LovelySerenity mydeerlikesbacon Saturday, October 15, 2016

I feel so sad for them. Once IOI disbands, I honestly cant predict the future of these girls. Besides people like Somi, Chaeyeon and the rest who are already in debuted groups, the ones who arent would probably fall back into their company's dungeons and would lose their popularity in the run. It's such a shame bcs IOI became such a big hit and to see it just go away just like that simply bcs they are of different agencies really suck. It'd be great if JYP (since his company is the biggest cooperation amongst all of the girls' agencies) would take the girls from Whatta Man and reform IOI under his label, but I guess it's easier said than done. I don't think the girls from smaller companies have much chance at receiving the same amount of love they'd get as IOI than their future groups, unless all of them have the same luck GFRIEND has. Nevertheless, I wish them all the best of luck & with little chance, hopefully, they all manage to achieve beyond IOI's current achievements as different groups.

I havent really given much attention to IOI since im more interested in other girl groups but I've always appreciated their talents and it's sad for me as a general kpop fan to see a good girl group go

krell fxcx09 Saturday, October 15, 2016

A couple of the members of IOI are ALREADY active with their 'IN HOUSE' AGENCY K-pop Group. DIA Group and COSMIC GIRLS Group are two of them ; as I recall. Which there is some controversy with IOI Fans about that ; the 'double duty' aspect. But it was NOT PROHIBITED in the contract that the AGENCIES had it with CJ E&M Agency (MNET TV).

michinpabo Saturday, October 15, 2016

I hope after they disband, all their agencies would find it reasonable to get them back together every once in a while to put something out. We need IOI in kpop.

krell michinpabo Saturday, October 15, 2016

Quite a few of the PD101 participants that did NOT win, did form GROUPS together with some AGENCY already. I would guess that the IOI winner members will be desired as 'known faces' with at least somewhat of an already existing Fan Base that pays attention to them. IOI Group has definitely been popular.

Kithisaki Friday, October 14, 2016

It's a shame that the group wasn't even together for a year but only seven months if January will be their end date.
