On the June 3 airing of Mnet's 'Show Me The Money 5', rapper Taewoon, also known as Block B Zico's older brother and former SPEED member, competed against underground rapper myunDO for the show's 1 vs 1 round.

During the rap battle, myunDo unfortunately slipped up with his lyrics, while Taewoon delivered a solid performance. Judges like Mad Clown and The Quiett praised Taewoon for his stage, which they thought were "the best Taewoon has done yet"However, after voting, the two rappers ended up in a tie, and they proceeded to partake in not one, not two, but three more rematch rounds. Ultimately, myunDO was voted as the winner.

Netizens seem to believe that myunDO's lyric slip up in the original match should have led to Taewoon moving up without a rematch. Currently, online communities are calling out 'Show Me The Money 5' for considering "friendship" and "connections" more important than skills, mocking it with titles like 'Show Me The Connections'.

Fingers seem to be pointing more directly toward illionaire's Dok2, who has shown fondness toward myunDO since the 2nd round. Netizens bombarded Dok2's Instagram with comments like, "Even if you didn't like Taewoon, you shouldn't have put friendship first... If they were good enough to tie 3 times, myunDO should have been eliminated in the first place for forgetting his lyrics, now it just looks like you all just stalled until myunDO did well enough to pass him", "If you're a judge you should act like a judge", and more.

The netizens also pointed out that it was unnecessary for Leessang's Gil to give Taewoon one of the hats that the judges give to contestants who pass, simply as a "consolation prize". Viewers of the show added that even before they began the match, the judges made a series of snarky remarks about how myunDO would "shave Taewoon" and more.

Block B's Zico also seems to have tuned in to the most recent episode, and went on his brother Taewoon's Instagram to comment on the results with, "Overlooking the fact that I'm your younger brother, you were just better."

Do you think the judges were showing favoritism toward myunDO on today's 'Show Me The Money 5'?

I'm honestly very disappointed in this season's panel. Apart from Mad Clown (who made it clear at the beginning that he'd be lenient to rappers who forget their lyrics), I don't even understand the others' criteria. It's all over the place and so it's obvious that they are straight up biased! They aren't actually considering skills. I'm super disappointed. Tae Woon did a really good job and it was unfair of them to put him through all that then disqualify him the moment he made a tiny mistake when Myundo had messed up his lyrics right away. Lets be honest, if it was a live performance to a crowd that had paid tickets, Myundo's mistake would have been a real problem and a real embarrassment in comparison to (whatever they said was) Tae Woo's mistake. Ugh. Best of luck to Tae Woo.

Bullshit as usual....I sometimes wonder why I even watch this show tbh. Watched the perf just now and WTF? Taewoon was clearly better (in that one performance). And isn't the whole point of survival shows that everyone gets one chance and if they mess up, that's it?Also, from reading the comments below me - got a good laugh cause everyone seems to be writing Giriboy instead of Mad Clown.

I love the judges and I thought they were better than SAN E, I smelled bias and favoritism since ep. 1 but thought its just my delusion. At least the previous judges fought to be fair, and knew that they're struggling to be fair. This season it's like POWER PLAY. I'm only watching One now and he seems like he won't last long with the lack of confidence. ANyhow, I bet BeWhy or Flowsik will take this season.

Judges for SMTM5 are so biased! No respect for rules.

My_Hana kpopmonsteryong Saturday, June 25, 2016

When they will eliminated One I'll stop watching

Buster Monday, June 6, 2016

They better pull a San E smh I hope whose ever team he chooses looses

pak_g1 Monday, June 6, 2016

smtm is a joke

jayjaythecutie Monday, June 6, 2016

I think they tied so much because the judges knew that they were both good in their own styles of rap. But based off of the first two performance Taewoon should have won.

Jaerimmie Sunday, June 5, 2016

Actually my style is Myundo and...although Taewoon did better at the first go, Myundo is much more skilled and the judges know that. Watch Myundo's performance on the second episode. He was the first one in SMTM history to get an encore, okay? I think that says a lot! Who wouldn't become biased after that? Myundo has got so much more potential. Taewoon certainly improved, but he's got to work some more. Myundo just has to not forget his lyrics. Reddy and G2 forgot their lyrics at one point in the competition too, but you didn't jump at their throats, did you?? Just cut me some slack.. And with a little bit of luck, if they do the rematch thing again like last season, your precious Woo Taewoon will be back.

Has nothing to do with whether judges think MD is better or not, that's why they have matches. It's purely based on that one match in which he did messed up. So it's not fair for the other party. Not fan of either, just saying.

shyloone Jaerimmie Sunday, June 5, 2016

yes your right a few forgot lyrics, and yes Myundo is a good rapper and might be your style and others style , hell i really liked him too after is second round performance, but im sure his caharacter and his dabbing helped him abit too, but anyway , when it come to him up against Taewoon, i actually thought Taewoon was out right the winner on the first and second battle, but then they had too do the rap that Myundo was good at so they could pick him, because they needed to pick him right from the start because he was a favourite, thats how the show goes, take Seungyeon from Unique for example i thought he should of won agaist Flowsik, but because the judges didnt know him and what hes capable of they chose Flowsik because he was favoued too, thats just how the show goes, i just hope they bring Taewoon and Seunyeon back they deserve it

Jaerimmie shyloone Monday, June 6, 2016

Mind me, the producers don't talk among themselves after the performance (after Junoflo vs Hash Swan battle, after they left the room, Gill - if I remember correctly- asked the others producers whom they voted for and they all answered Hash Swan and everybody was surprised in a nice way that he got an All Pass again - and everything seemed honest, not an act) so half of them did pick Taewoon. People are overlooking that. I don't believe the "tie" was a coax. Some just favored Taewoon and some, Myundo. If Taewoon were truly that awesome, he would've won in the end. But he didn't, so....But yes, I did support Seungyeon, but when you think of Flowsik, you can't not pass him, given his experience and swag and etc...I was actually furious at Seungyeon for picking Flowsik, but at the same time I did admire his courage. But bad decision, if you ask me. He kinda did the same mistake as Xitsuh last season. Anyways, I do hope they bring back some of them through the rematch battle.

ahnjunk Sunday, June 5, 2016

I'm wondering if there's going to be any rematch battles like last season. For example, BeWhy losing to Microdot but then went against Lil Boi and etc.

shyloone ahnjunk Sunday, June 5, 2016

Yes im hoping they have rematch too, because Taewoon deserves another chance and so does Seungyeon from Unique and even Junoflo was good and deserves another chance

Buster ahnjunk Monday, June 6, 2016

No Rematch battle they even said it

shyloone Buster Monday, June 6, 2016

that will be why they made Taewoon keep going until he lost, sad, but i hope you heard wrong

shyloone Sunday, June 5, 2016

ok first of all i would like to say Taewoon killed it, and definitley should of taken a clear win against Myundo, but as we all know how the producers have the final say, and Myundo was a favourite, and they like to keep favourites.. they just keep going until they could pick Myundo the winner and thats where he was good on the last rap..but im sure taewoon will come back when they bring some back,

micha93 Saturday, June 4, 2016

wow that's truly unfair..I really feel the judges this time have biased POVsand then One had to feel exactly like Hanhae last year, being passed even though making a mistakeI feel like Simon D is the only judge with a clear mind

micha93 Saturday, June 4, 2016

and tbh Kush is a bad judge of skilled rappers

shyloone micha93 Sunday, June 5, 2016

Kush aint bad hes just got a different taste , i mean clearly he didnt think that black American chick was that good he thought she was just average and could find someone like her anywhere, but because Dok2 and and the other perverts liked her appearance they liked her really she sucked when it came to her cypher..but anyhow we will see..shes just on there to stirup the other Korean girls lol

daFoolio shyloone Monday, June 6, 2016

hell yeah... the black girl from US suuuuuucks.... her delivery is whack

OppasGirl micha93 Friday, June 17, 2016

Kush may have been right about Miss LA but generally, I have to say he does kinda suck as a judge on a hiphop show. His criteria is all over the place. Remember he gave Junoflow a fail when he was actually pretty good and impressed even Timbaland.
