Japanese model/actress Harin (Harada Rin) spoke up to clarify her position after revealing that she had been "removed" from the debuting team that would go on to become NewJeans.
Previously, Harin appeared as a guest on a YouTube segment hosted by Japanese actor Takeda Hiromitsu. During the segment, Harin confessed that she had been a trainee at Source Music but was cut from the debuting team shortly before the launch of NewJeans.
The story quickly went on to fuel various rumors and speculations surrounding NewJeans, ADOR, and Min Hee Jin, not to mention waves of malicious comments directed at Harin.
In response, Harin explained her position on the matter through the following post on her YouTube:
"I'm both grateful and concerned about the sudden attention I'm receiving lately.
The story that I told during the interview was based on my own personal feelings of frustration and disappointment at the time. I had no intention of criticizing or exposing a certain company by recounting my experiences.
It was undoubtedly a difficult time for me. At the same time, it was in retrospect an opportunity which made me stronger, and so for that I'm grateful. I am still cheering on the members who laughed and cried with me back in those days.
I will do my best to make up for my shortcomings and show you a good image."
Harin is currently active in Korea as an advertisement model and actress.
