According to information released by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency (SMPA) on May 25, Kangin's blood alcohol level at the time he received his DUI was 0.157%, surpassing 0.1% which is the level that could get your driver's license revoked.

Because the blood alcohol level calculated can be influenced by the amount of alcohol intake and the total time alcohol was consumed, authorities did not rule out the possibility that Kangin confessed his blood alcohol level to be lower than what it actually was.

Police plan to confirm just how much and for how long Kangin drank by interviewing his acquaintances and also questioning the restaurant employees. They also plan to check the exact amount of alcohol Kangin ordered while he was at the restaurant.

Should the witness accounts and Kangin's confession clash, then the police are planning on summoning him once more for an investigation.

It was further reported that police will be pressing charges against Kangin for attempting to get away in addition to the charges of traffic laws violations and driving under the influence.

NONE of the K-pop Idols are actually 'Role Models' for anyone's children. They are simply entertainers. And S.KOREA has an *enormous* appetite for SOJU (Alcohol) consumption. WHY is anyone surprised that one of them (or more), like KANGIN, turns out to be a likely ALCOHOLIC. I believe that *female* EUNJI (APINK) was saying that she consumes around 3 bottles of SOJU (Alcohol) per day? I'll post the URL on it here soon.

krell Thursday, May 26, 2016

This would be the AKP URL for ARTICLE about EUNJI (APINK) and her alcohol consumption habits --> ...

krell Thursday, May 26, 2016

LIKELY that EUNJI (APINK) drinks SOJU at *home* mostly. Or maybe at a friend's place; and drives *carefully* home when she feels 'up to it.' Whereas, KANGIN seems more like an ALCOHOLIC personality. Drinking at NIGHT CLUBS, with 'good friends' where he 'proves' that he can 'drink them under the table' with the 'best' of them.

I don't think she meant that she drinks three bottles per day, but that she can drink up to three bottles a be okay, ehich is totally different

krell gabbsdoramafreak Friday, May 27, 2016

Okay, I will *defer* to you on this; and stand corrected. Because also I *like* EUNJI anyway! But with KANGIN, he likely needs to stay OUT of NIGHT CLUBS. For some, that type of 'social drinking' of alcohol can create *real* problems.

While I agree with some of what you say, you seem to be making A LOT of assumptions based on a person you don't even know. I agree, for someone that has gotten two DUIs, there could be the potential for a problem with alcohol. I know people who have gotten more than one DUI, but they didn't turn out to be alcoholics. They were being selfish and thoughtless, making reckless choices by drinking and driving, and they were promptly punished and fined for these actions. They had to learn the hard way, but eventually they learned to just call a damn cab or walk home and pick up their car in the morning. I'm not defending his actions by any means, I think the whole situation is sad. However, we aren't in his life, so we don't know what his drinking habits are or aren't- you are correct that people do drink a lot there, so it doesn't really make sense for you to counter and say that he's trying to prove something, especially when you've already acknowledged that heavier drinking is commonplace in South Korea.

@krell said above --> "WHY is anyone surprised that one of them (or more), like KANGIN, turns out to be a *likely* ALCOHOLIC." ... <-- Please note use of the words "*LIKELY* ALCOHOLIC" in my message above. And yes, I do *not* know it for sure; or KANGIN personally either. BUT, clearly, the INDICATORS are there with KANGIN. In my view, he needs to STAY AWAY from 'social drinking' situations; where KANGIN *seems* to easily 'go overboard' on the ALCOHOL. KANGIN has a *lot* to lose by anymore ALCOHOL mistakes. So far, KANGIN has been fairly LUCKY as I see it. He has 'only' damaged PROPERTY. IF he keeps it up, he IS *LIKELY* to bodily injure someone; himself or INNOCENT others.

Korea has 0,05 % as the DUI limit --- USA has 0,08% --- China 0,02% --- No country in Europe (except Liechtenstein) have over 0,05 --- There isnt a country in the world where Kangin would not get at least fined for drunk driving

the easiest way is for you to blow into an alcohol level checker (not sure what they are called in english). It immediately shows how much alcohol you have in you. To do a more proper test, you can go to the police station and they will test your blood to see how much alcohol is still in it.
